HIGH POINT — High Point Schools Partnership (HPSP) members delivered 100 laptops to five nonprofits operating student enrichment centers while schools are closed to in-person instruction during the ongoing pandemic.
The Foundation for a Healthy High Point had donated the laptops to Communities in Schools of High Point Inc., YWCA, YMCA, D-UP, and the Salvation Army’s Boys and Girls Club.
Enrichment centers are open to students in grades 1-8 and are designed to assist families with both remote learning and child care. With 67% of Guilford students living in low-income households, some students lack access to devices or internet connections.
