Penn-Griffin School for the Arts

Penn-Griffin School for the Arts learning community is committed to being a premier school for the arts. Penn-Griffin is constantly challenging students' potential, nurturing responsibility, celebrating diversity, and modeling lifelong learning. Magnet middle students are selected through a lottery process. Middle school students complete all of their core courses while also being exposed to a wide variety of arts electives. Prospective high school students participate in a rigorous audition process during the magnet application period. In addition to an Honors and Advanced Placement academic curriculum, Penn-Griffin School for the Arts offers elective courses in eight arts disciplines: Band, Chorus, Dance, Guitar, Orchestra, Piano, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Unique to Penn-Griffin is the opportunity for students to journey through the arts in one school from sixth grade through twelfth grade.

Special Academic Programs

Arts-Focused Magnet Program: Penn-Griffin's program is designed to allow students to explore multiple art areas in sixth grade and then choose an area as their arts concentration in seventh and eighth grade. Upon entering the high school grades, students must audition in their arts concentration.
